Mr. Chickpea has decided to quit WoW...well, he's stopped raiding for the time being. So, now I gotta get used to having him around for dinner again...heh. I'm not complaining! It's good to have dinner together again...chit chat about happenings during the day, etc. But I had gotten used to reading or working on a Sudoku puzzle while having my dinner...so, yeah, I wonder if he'd mind if I continued to just do that during dinner? Heh.
...or not. I wouldn't if I was Mrs. Spitzer. Why is she even standing up there with the hypocrite-ass? We all know it's a sham. And his "apology" isn't even a real apology...it's all about himself. Ugh...makes me sick. It's not the prostitution that gets to me...it's the hypocrisy and the hiding of the money being spent. Ugh...so sickening.
Well, it's done. I officially have a new brother-in-law. We spent about 45 minutes on the freeway battling morning traffic to get to the County Registrar's office. Then we had to wait in line for about 10 minutes. There were two couples ahead of us...they seemed very young...like barely-out-of-their-teens-young. As soon as we were checked in, we were told to wait by the chapel door. The clerk that checked us in turned out to be the officiant! She had jeans on under the robe...heh. The chapel was all right...a bit plain, but at least it was private and not like the courthouse Older Sister went to for the marriage license. The chapel there had a big window for everyone to see through! Anyway, this chapel had a podium, an archway with fake flowers all over it, and some pews for family and friends.
Before I could even get the camera out of its case, the officiant started the ceremony and then was done in about one minute! I signed as the witness and she was out of there with the paperwork. We stuck around for a few minutes taking some pictures under the arch. I think we spent about 15 minutes inside the building and we were back on the freeway, still battling morning traffic on the way back!
No, not me...I've already been there! Older Sister has the civil ceremony scheduled and I get to be the witness to this unholy union...uh, I mean, lovely union. No, really...I hope things work out well for the two of them. This will be second marriages for both of them! I think this one will stick...heh. But then, I said that of Older Sister's first marriage so what do I know?!
Older Sister called me today and told me she was getting married. Woo...hoo. Well, she was going to get her marriage license and then schedule a civil ceremony. She just got divorced! She got engaged before her divorce was even finalized! Dang...what's the rush? Well, maybe it's not her so much as her now fiance who kinda rushed things I think. I think this guy will be a better brother-in-law than the now ex-asshole-brother-in-law. Actually, he's tons better than that jerk of an ex-BIL. I just don't feel that comfortable with the rush to get married again since they both are recently divorced...Older Sister more recently than Fiance-dude. But I guess they want to be married as soon as possible because they are also (what feels like to me) rushing into buying a house together! So, yeah...rush, rush, rush! Gotta be married before escrow closes! I don't know...is that a good reason to get married?! Maybe it is. Older Sister got scammed by her ex-hubby who said he would add her name to the title of the house when they got married, but he never did. He never did lots of things and that's why she divorced him. She did not choose wisely before...let's hope she chose wisely this time around!
Today was a day held in much anticipation by Mr. Chickpea. Was it his birthday? No. Was it meatloaf night? No. Was it the start of another season of American Idol? No. Today...drumroll, please...was the release day for the WoW expansion set! Oh. My. God. He spent much of the night before planning how, when and where he would go buy it since he had to work today. For those not in the know, WoW stands for World of Warcraft. For me, WoW stands for weeks of widowhood. Sob, sob. All right, sometimes it's not so bad. I like having time to myself to pursue my own interests. And we even have both of our computers in the same room, so there is time spent together, just not really together, together. That's fine...for the most part. I suppose I could join him in the game, but it's just not my kind of thing really. And I absolutely refuse to have our real lives dictated by his WoW life...well, my life anyway. I've been a bit more lenient with that lately even though I'm not crazy about it.
At least I had some decent face time this past weekend with Mr. Chickpea. He finally got me a belated birthday present. He even agreed to go shopping with me...although I think I would rather go shopping on my own...heh. I don't like to have someone waiting for me if I need to try something on and I know Mr. Chickpea DOES NOT like having to hold my purse...haha. Plus, I don't really need him knowing how much I spend on shopping for myself...know what I mean? Heh. Still, it was nice of him to acknowledge that he wanted to spend some quality time with me before he goes off to be with his evil mistress!
