Wow...how about those Oscars last night? I used to just watch the award show for the fashion and to root for the movies that I liked. But now...I just can't get into it anymore. Has "Hollywood" always been this overly smug and self-congratulatory? I guess maybe they have. It must be me. I guess I've changed. I can no longer overlook all that phoniness and fake do-goodery...all that hypocrisy. Just do what your good at...act! I don't want to hear your stupid ill-informed opinions about politics and how I should be a good little Socialist and conserve and recycle while you are wearing millions in "blood diamonds" and designer gowns that cost more than my car and riding around in gas-guzzling limos and flying around in oil-guzzling global- warming-inducing private jets and living in million dollar mansions that cost $$$ to heat. Just shut up about your own opinions and do your job and act. I don't care about what you THINK...just ENTERTAIN me.
What's with Al Gore's documentary winning the Oscar? Talk about fearmongering...and the hypocrisy! His freaking 20-room mansion uses MORE than TWICE the electricity in one month than the average household in ONE YEAR. Hey, Al, how's about you sell the mansion and build some affordable housing on that land? And maybe fly coach more often when you give your fear-mongering global warming talks in other countries? Maybe shut your trap and stop spewing all that hot air into the atmosphere? Doncha know there's global warming going on????? Frick...and to think I voted for you back then.
